Introduction:
We are looking for a technology oriented engineer to design, install and support VOIP systems for enterprise environments.
Get in on the ground floor of a new Converged Service SaaS company that is addressing the exciting Small and Medium Business market with an exciting portfolio of hosted services over a private access network so we can deliver a superior customer experience. We want to move fast and are looking for the right combination of broad skills and the willingness to pitch-in and get things done.
Position Description / Responsibilities:
CISCO - Network Administrator / Engineer / VOIP expert - Cisco VOIP PBX hardware/software, Cisco IP networking - Routers and Switch configuration / troubleshooting,(ISDN, T1, DS3), VoIP (IP telephony, trunking, etc.) and PSTN gateway.
Provide direct technical support for the planning, coordination, and implementation of VOIP system releases, upgrades, or changes to VOIP systems and the range of products and productivity tools that support the testing and production of those systems.
Ensure stable performance for VOIP environments through performance monitoring and tuning
Requires in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and communication protocols. Experienced in the design of enterprise network routing architectures using protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and static routes. Knowledge of QOS, Route Redistribution, Policy Routing, and Multicast techniques essential. Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-vendor network issues in the LAN and WAN environment.
Solid understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts, including the principles of network routing and client/server programming
Background in Cisco security that includes VPN concentrators, Security IOS, PIX and ASA Firewalls

Cisco based network (7200 Routers with MC DS3, 6500 Switches, PIX firewall/VPN)
Managed Switches
Customer Located Router/Managed Switches
Server Configuration and Management
Generic Linux based servers for DNS, mail relay, NTP, Syslog, Trace, NFS applications
Operations
Monitoring and Management of Infrastructure above plus Hosted VoIP Platform and Access Network
Customer implementation processes
Requirements:
5yrs experience in Cisco Routers, Switching, and Security
CCNA, CCNP (preferred).
5yrs experience in VoIP mainly with SIP.
